About TLC CB

Built by community. For community.

TLC Community Builders exists because our communities deserve support structures as nuanced as we are.

Mission

To provide evidence-based harm reduction education, trauma-informed peer support, and community accountability frameworks for alt communities — kink, BDSM, polyamory, LGBTQ+, and adjacent populations.

Vision

Communities where harm is addressed with structure and compassion, where knowledge is accessible and non-judgmental, and where every person can find support without having to explain who they are first.

Our Values

01

Consent is ongoing

Not a one-time checkbox. Every process we offer, every framework we share, centers ongoing, revocable consent.

02

Non-pathologizing principle

Kink, polyamory, and adjacent identities are not disorders. We do not treat community members as problems to be fixed — we support and educate.

03

Evidence over ideology

Our education is grounded in peer-reviewed research, translated for community rather than clinical audiences. We say what we don't know as clearly as what we do.

04

Local capacity over dependency

We'd rather train ten facilitators in your community than become the place everyone has to come to. Scale through people, not centralization.

05

Accountability without cruelty

Communities cause and experience harm. Responding to that harm doesn't require permanent exile, public callouts, or silence. We offer structured pathways.

The Ecosystem

TLC CB is part of the TLC (The Life Conscious) family — a network of community organizations, educators, and practitioners serving alt communities across harm reduction, education, the arts, and digital tools.

Our peer support, education, and accountability frameworks are designed to work together — and to work with other organizations, not instead of them. We are not a licensing body, a policing body, or a replacement for community leadership. We are a resource.

“Safer. Smarter. More Connected.”
